| The "BI Optics Library is a collection of function libraries and tools for analyzing optics systems and devices.
Geometric Ray-tracing, Gradient Index analysis, Diffraction Analysis, Scattering tools for single, multiple, small particle, rough surface and irregular shapes, Black body calculations. Some tools integrate with Excel, Visual Basic and C++ so that you can build custom apps. Windows- and Web-based Tutorials and information.
Reflectance Instrument
|
| The BIT reflectance instrument a GRIN lens is used to collimate the light source to form a 1.8mm spot (0.15 divergence) on the sample. The instrument may be configured to work in either fixed angle-of-incidence or fixed angle-of-scattering modes. The instrument may accomodate samples up to 2mm thick without re-alignement of the instrument. Another GRIN lens is used to couple the scattered light to the detector.
LED-Fiber Coupler
|
| The "Adjustable LED-Fiber Coupling package" is a low-cost solution to couple an Infrared Light-Emitting Diode (IR-LED) to an fiber-optic cable with the choice of SMA, FC or ST connectors. This coupler has been designed to accommodate a T1-3/4 (5 mm) LED with almost any lens shape. The optical systems is designed around aspheric coated optical elements for the highest coupling efficiency.
Light Designer
|
| The "Light Designer" is a optical design tool for calculating the illumination patterns of lighting fixtures. Layout a pattern of reflectors and refractors and the Light designer will give the radial distribution or distribution projected onto a horizontal surface.
