Forest fairies are best described as “free spirits.” They wander the woods rustling the leaves and gently patting dirt over fallen seeds. In September they have a large celebration and paint the forest in reds, oranges and yellows. After a week or two they quickly loosen all the leaves so they’ll fall to the ground and protect the seeds from the snow. Since the forest fairly clothes herself in oak leaves, you will notice all the
oak leaves are not loosened and many remain on the tree throughout the winter.
