Given that we seem to be consistently incapable of getting our act together before Kelly spent the summer(*)with us, working at the Wet Seal store in Mayfair mall
Christmas to write a letter like this, better late than never! We DO love all of your & volunteering in the physical therapy department at St. Luke's hospital. Kelly was
wonderful cards, gifts & personal letters as well as the time we spent together really excited to learn in early November that she was accepted into the Physical
during the year, all of which deserve our thanks!! Now that the holidays are over, Therapy Grad school at the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston)
we have found a little time to reflect on the year, friends, & family… Some of our Tuition Donations Gratefully Accepted J Yes, We Have No Shame !
thoughts are captured below for your enjoyment. Kelly will graduate from Auburn University in mid-May and is planning to promptly
start grad school at the end the month... Guess there's no "rest for the wicked" !
Our favorite highlight of the year is the February trip(*)to Jamaica (Mke to Montego
Bay & bus to Breezes Resort at Runaway Bay). We spent time laying on the beach Stu graduated with honors(*)from UW-LaCrosse in May of this year with a double
with the sun, white sand & warm breezes, drinking (Red Stripes, fruity Pineapple BS in Communications & English. He also made the Dean's List! We had a terrific
Cocktails) & eating outside (Jerk Chicken, fish, etc) & on the beach as well as family celebration at the school. Stu spent several months with the Thomas Registry
lounging on our "borrowed" chaise lounges outside on our room patio under the (researching corporate information) & was accepted into Americorp for a year in
moon. We took a trip to visit the poorer areas of Ocho Rios & the market to buy October. He was in Washington DC for his first 3 months and will be moving on
some cool memorabilia with a side trip up to the mountain-side garden (huge red soon to spend some time in Richmond, VA for more fun !!

fantastic wave sprays, which Don's camera unfortunately hated (& promptly died!) Don's health(*)continues to amaze his doctors…He's in the 1% of Glioblastoma
brain tumor survivors who passed the 5-year point! This summer, Don & his friend
We had a great summer ending with our early fall trip(*)to Amsterdam & the UK. Ed Panelli together raised over $13,000 at the SFTB(*)in support of ongoing brain
Sandy flew ahead (trade show) before hooking up with Alan & AeKyung (Don's tumor research. Don had a job promotion this summer to a global management
brother & sister-in-law) near London & then with Don as he flew in a few days later. position for CT engineering at GE. He continues to enjoy his job and his long-time
We visited family & spent time for a show in London with Jim & Bev (Don's old GE friends. He joined several of them this summer for a fishing trip up in Canada &
friends) and in Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare-ville) for a play, Celestine. We tried to go hunting in the fall ( too busy! )
jointly gained ~20 pounds from great English beer & lots of Ploughman's Lunches!
Sandy's job had her traveling extensively this year…Houston, Chicago, Salt Lake
Our saddest moment of the year was learning in February that Sandy's brother Les City, Raleigh-Durham, Orlando, New Orleans, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco
had advanced stage lung cancer -- he never smoked a day in his life! Sandy was and Amsterdam (Europe). 2004 brings a new marketing role for Sandy at GE,
fortunate to be able to spend a significant amount of time with Les & his family details are still in progress! She visited with Kelly & Kaci twice this year (March &
through the year before his passing in November. October) in Auburn for more enjoyment meeting their friends. Sandy also had
extensive physical therapy this year on both her ankle & back, making progress
Moving on to some family news, Kaci is enjoying her sophomore year at Auburn with both. As we age, it will sure be nice having our own personal physical therapist
University, majoring in Finance. Her plan is to become a Real Estate Executive & in the family!!
