04/30/00 - I've been busy with real life stuff, a glow delta plane and working on getting new brushless setup working well. The cellsI got are Sanyo 1600 AAU NiMHs btw. I have done a few tests and hopefullywill find time to post them soon.

04/15/00 - I received my batteries from BatteriesAmerica yesterday. I have now two new 10 cell packs to add to my collection; one Sanyo 800AR and one Sanyo 1600mah NiMH. There is some confusion on which NiMH theysent me. I believe they sent HR-3U 1600s but my bill statement says theyare 1500 AAUs. I'll find out for sure this week what they are. It'll bea while till I get a chance to test my new packs or post any pics btw. 

04/09/00 - My new powertrain for my Grob arrived 2 days ago. Its a Aveox geared brushless 1005Y3+3.7:1 and EZ30 ESC. I've been busyplaying around with it instead of batteries. Also bought their Infinity2charger and have been playing with that.

04/04/00 - Added better labels on comparison charts. Added pics of 1200 Duracells.
04/02/00 - Done with steady low ampdraw test on my new Duracell pack and info is posted. Alot of minormisc updates: added to plane picture captions, added end of charge data,added low amp draw test for 2nd 1100 NiMH pack.

Burnt up my powertrain in my Grob the other day; slowly lost power during a long flight with my large battery. Combination of poor ventilation (basically none) and the cheap gearboxare the cause. The gearbox totally went tohell which was causing tons of drag wasting lots of energy making the motorwork way too hard. Ordering a brushless setup soon.

04/01/00 - My new Duracell pack is behaving much better now. Taking normal break in charge mahs and putting out the fairly normal break in mah. Will do true tests soon.

03/30/00 - Hmm..not good. I broke in the pack with a few 1.5Adraws and .5 amp charges. Just did my low amp steady draw test and the pack failed pretty bad. One cell was 25 degrees hotter than the othersat the end of the test. I'm going to have to remove that cell and put inanother one. No data is posted from this erroneous test. 

Also, I my 500AR NiCad pack has 'leaked'. A whitepowdery crust has formed around the negative poles of many of my cells.This would make sense cause that pack was acting oddly recently.

03/28/00 - Received my 10 Duracell batteries 5 days ago and nowI have my 8 cell pack made and its charging as I type. Tests soon to be posted.

03/23/00 - Most of the charts/graphs are now online for your viewing pleasure. Some links are empty but itsstill a work in progress. Also added one pic in the flyingfields area.

03/20/00 - Added 3  steady high amp draw tests.
03/19/00 - Finished and posted lots of new data mainly for my on/offhigh amp draw tests. Data page is long but it will be fixed in a fewweeks.

03/15/00 - Half done making my high amperage draw tester. Slightlyadded to chargers page.
03/13/00 - Added Elfi draw data. Updated Links page with some good info sites. Its going to be a while for the gfx charts; like longerthan a week. Ordered 10 Duracell NiMHs to test and use. I'm working ona page containing recommended chargers thatare proven and known to work well with NiMHs. In the back burner of mymany projects already; I will do some high current (20A) draw tests forthose with larger planes and will try to do slowfly current tests withmy smaller packs. This will take alot of time so don't expect this tomorrow.:)

03/10/00 - Added Zagi draw data. Still working on graphs. I'mreally hating the way the Test Data page is turning out. Soon as I get the gfx and most of my data, I'm going to revamp that page for better viewing.

03/09/00 - Added more charger data. Finished one Zagi data butwon't post till tomorrow(I'm tired)
