OCONOMOWOC, WISCONSIN

Oconomowoc is the center of Waukesha County's Lake Country Area. Built between Lake LaBelle, Oconomowoc Lake, Fowler Lake and Silver Lake, Oconomowoc first thrived as a wealthy resort town in the 19th century, catering to Chicago and Milwaukee's rich: the Armours, the Montgomery Wards and the Pabsts. Beautiful, old mansions abound. The quaint downtown is now proliferated with artists, craft stores and other great shops and restaurants.

Oconomowoc is 2 miles north of Interstate 94, at the intersections of Highways 67 and 16.
