Jim Beeman is a trained woodsman who has seen the need for sustainable forestry. Jim is working with area landowners to salvage recent strom damage.

A recent violent windstorm caused tens of thousands of acres of timber damage in Western Wisconsin and SE Minnesota. Hiawatha Sustainable Woods Cooperative is now working to help forest owners salvage their timber and manage their forest resource. Value-added processing will increase landowner income.
