2009 Women’s Senior/Masters Racquetball National Championships Return to California

The 20^th annual WSMRA national tournament will be held Jan 16-18, 2009 at The Spectrum Club in Canoga Park, CA. This is a great club that also hosted our tournament in 1998 and 2001. The tournament directors will be Debbie Tisinger-Moore and Randy Lam. The club features 20 racquetball courts, indoor pool, whirlpools, and many amenities. There is also a juice bar and an internet café. A shuttle will run from the hotel to the club every hour during the tournament.

The host hotel will be the Radisson (818-709-7054) on Topanga Canyon in Chatsworth, about 3 miles from the club. The hotel features wireless internet, heated pool, fitness center and free parking. LAX is about 35 miles and Burbank airport is about 20 miles from the hotel. Transportation is not provided from airport to hotel. Use the PrimeTime Shuttle (www.primetimeshuttle.com) or check with the hotel.

Canoga Park is in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles about 25 miles northwest of Downtown Los Angeles and is convenient to touring the area.

Please note:

q We will have open divisions for all age groups 35 and up (5 year increments). B/C divisions will again be available in 10 year age groups (35+, 45+ and 55+), so there should be a division for you and your friends!!

q Doubles Event: Our informal “fun doubles” will be played on Thursday afternoon January 15 at the Club. We are planning to again use this event as a voluntary fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research. Come check out the courts and play with your friends for a good cause. We will have lots of door prizes and surprises.
