The 2010 tournament will return to the East in mid-January, 2010. The site for the 21^st annual tournament will be the Lakeforest Sport and Health Club in Gaithersburg, MD (near Washington, DC). 20^th Anniversary Women’s Senior/Masters Racquetball National Championships:2009 tournament recently held in Canoga Park Jan 16-18, 2009

The 20^th annual Senior/Masters Racquetball National Championships were recently held at the Spectrum Club in Canoga Park, CA. It was a fitting way to celebrate 20 years! To read the whole story click here.

Wilson Renews Contract as WSMRA National Sponsor

The Women's Senior/Masters Racquetball Association has signed a new two-year contract with Wilson Racquet Sports to provide balls, scorecards and draw sheets for the annual Women’s Senior/Masters National Racquetball Championships in 2009 and 2010.  Wilson will also provide promotional materials and merchandise for fund-raising.  The WSMRA is proud to be associated with the Wilson brand and looks forward to continuing this exciting partnership with Wilson. We want to thank Chris Evon for making this possible.

Racquetball Magazine features Senior/Masters Players

Senior/Masters players are featured in the Summer Issue of Racquetball Magazine. Look for our Board member Debbie Tisinger-Moore on the cover and an article on the WSMRA.

WSMRA members on USAR Board

Two WSMRA members are currently serving on the USAR Board: Cheryl Kirk is the current president, the first woman to hold that position. Merijean Kelley is a new member. Several WSMRA members serve on the USAR “Women’s Committee” including Cheryl Kirk, Lorraine Galloway, Tammarrian Rogers, and Terry Rogers.

Chris Evon Wins Peggy Steding Award

At the USAR 2009 National Singles, Chris Evon received the Peggy Steding Award as Female Age Group Athlete of the Year for 2008. Chris continues a long list of WSMRA members who have won this prestigious award, starting with Kathy Mueller in 1991. Chris has been a strong supported of the WSMRA, providing us with excellent support through Wilson over the years. Congratulations Chris!
