Our first side trip in Cancun was the 'Jungle Tour'. This consisted of driving these boats (jet ski like) through mangrove swamps for about an hour to a coral reef just south of the peninsula where most of the hotels are located.

When we got to the Nizuc Reef our 30 minutes snorkling went WAY too fast. We saw lots of beautiful coral and tropical fish. However, our underwater pictures turned out terrible compared to this postcard I scanned.
