New Song for Bloated Big Business

The five wealthiest corporations on Earth are General Motors, Walmart, Exxon, Ford, and Daimler-Chrysler.  Their GNP is higher than that of 182 countries.  We created this song to describe their shameful histories.  We would like to add verses for the bloated big businesses we will visit on our March 9 Bloated Big Business Bus Tour: Walgreens, Taco Bell, Manpower, Beverly Enterprises Nursing Homes, and Children's World.  Please send your suggestions to Welfare Warriors, 2711 W. Michigan, Milwaukee, WI, 53208; 414-342-6662.

Bloated Big Business Has No Shame
to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm"

Old Sam Walton had a store
ee ay ee ay o
And in this store he robbed the poor
ee ay ee ay o
and in this store he robbed the poor
ee ay ee ay o
With a low wage here; no benefits there
Part time here, and no time there
Old Sam Walton robbed the poor
ee ay ee ay o

General Motors build some cars,
ee ay ee ay o
Yet many workers didn't get far,
ee ay ee ay o
With a lay-off here, and a downsize there,
Jobs gone south, the bosses don't care
General Motors built some cars,
ee ay ee ay o

Exxon Oil had a ship
ee ay ee ay o
And on this ship they had some oil
ee ay ee ay o
An oil slick here; Some dead fish there,
Keep the money coming, Exxon don't care
Exxon Oil had a ship
ee ay ee ay o

Big Ford Motors had a plan
ee ay ee ay o
To make more profits than Japan
ee ay ee ay o
Mexican factories here; Filipine factories there
Payin' slave wages and pollutin' the air
Big Ford Motors had a plan
ee ay ee ay o
