Review by Per Jakobsen
What a welcome!!
"Hände hoch!" (means "Hands Up!") was the 'warm' welcome by the female
security person at the AWD Halle before clapping on my pockets and body
searching for.... yes "For what?" one could ask.
Besides that, the venue - being an indoor sports arena - was pretty
much ok. Better atmosphere and better sound than 4 days before in the
gigantic Gigantium in Aalborg, Denmark.
The concert took off some minutes past 8 p.m. with a solid Maggie's
Farm. After this, a quiet and nice rendition of Tell Me That It Isn't True
with good harmonica playing. Then the standard of the night was set.
Good and concentrated playing and singing. Everything came from the
stage to the audience in a better and more laid back way than in
Aalborg. In my opinion.
Highlights musically was Positively 4th Street, High Water (For Charly
Patton) and Visions Of Johanna.
All in all one of the better Dylan gigs. A night to remember
