September 1, 6:30 p.m., Milwaukee Choristers will hold auditions for new members at United Methodist Church, 1529 Wauwatosa Av., where the 80+-voice chorus holds weekly rehearsals. Dr. James B. Kinchen, Jr., Sturtevant, director of choral activities at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, has been conductor of the Choristers since 1993. He will conduct the private auditions and advises that no prepared material is necessary and no appointment is required. A potential member must be a high school graduate or at least 18 years old. Singers accepted will join the Choristers in weekly rehearsals, from7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., beginning on September 8th, for their annual Christmas Concert.   • a selection from Edvard Grieg's last composition, "Four Psalms"
  • the "Sanctus" from Maurice Durufle's "Requiem"
  • Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Borgoroditse Devo," from the composer's "All Night Vespers," which the Choristers will sing in Russian
  • Mormon Tabernacle Choir arrangements of several carols and folk songs
  • "What Sweeter Music," by the popular British composer and choral conductor, John Rutter
  • Leroy Anderson's" Sleigh Ride, and
  • the classic Fred Waring arrangement of "'Twas The Night Before Christmas"
