An Overview of W B Bottle

WB Bottle Supply Company was founded in St. Francis, Wisconsin in 1932 by Wilfred Wing. Sr. as a forerunner to today's recycling centers. It began by removing discarded jars from area dumps, such as the Chase Avenue dump, and cleaning the jars with the available cleaners of the day. These jars were then resold to area food processors who were facing a materials shortage due to the depression. Used containers, re-washed on custom built machinery, continued to be the mainstay of the business when Bill and Jerry Wing, Wilfred's sons, took over the company after returning from World War II.

The decision to enter the fledgling plastics market and silk screen decoration in the early 1950's was the springboard WB used to become a full-line new container distributor. After obtaining important glass, closure, and other product line distributorships in the mid and late 1950's, WB Bottle was well on its way to becoming Wisconsin's largest and most complete stocking packaging distributor.

Today WB Bottle, with offices and warehouses in Milwaukee and Elk Grove Village, IL, serves customers in 37 states and 4 countries. We offer a wide variety of rigid packaging containers, components and a superb in house decorating operation. Our customers include, but are nor limited to, members of the chemical, food, drug, automotive, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal care industries.

Many of our employees are long time WB professionals. Their knowledge, teamwork and willingness to assist our customers in all their packaging requirements has long been our greatest suit. To continue in this effort is our strongest desire.
