Amanda Proeber is in my opinion the most promising "new"* artist to walk through the doors of KM art. Literally new. A recent graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), the only two places she has shown previously were in her graduate show at MIAD and at the Dancing Ganesha restaurant in Milwaukee (a place by the way that all serious art scouts should frequent). She is already producing world-class work. Alas, mere web pages at 72 dpi cannot do justice to her deft use of negative space, dynamic impastoes, her delicate approach to daring subject matter, but until you can see the work first-hand these pages will have to do. Her work should -- and will soon -- be seen in New York, Paris, London... Kent Mueller
