The Volga German Trip - 5

Very sad – the Holy Cross church, in Pfeiffer, Russia built around 1902 using the red brick the Volga Germans use for important places – had been destroyed. There is a church in Pfeiffer, Kansas that resembles this church and has been named Holy Cross. In Horbach, Germany, rejuvenating our elbows with Magda (grew up with our Kansas neighbor Chris Werth in Germany) Magda & Hubert with Norma, Barbara & Paulette in Budingen, Germany.

My sister Norma with me by the Cathedral of Cologne in Germany – construction in 1248 & completed after 632 years. Barbara on Rhine river Cruise – note the castle & vineyards on the hillside in back.
