"Little Girl"  (1989 - 1998)

 Little Girl was a very special lady.  She was my very first black basset  with thumbprints (but definately not the last!) and I loved her to  distraction.  Perhaps because I was so enamoured of her, she just   wouldn't show for me, so I finally broke down and sent her out with   Bryan Martin PHA.  She is the ONLY basset we have ever had a  handler show.  In two weekends he put a major and 4 singles on her,  enough for me to regain my confidence, although this little lady made   him work for his fee!  I finished her myself, taking Winners Bitch at  the Twin Cities Basset Hound Club Specialty - my first specialty win.  Little Girl was bred only once and has one champion daughter.  It's  amazing how the loss of such a little girl could leave such a big  hole....
