"Rascal"  (1980 - 1989)

Rascal was our very first Otterhound, purchased after Reed hurt his back and decided he wanted a breed he wouldn't have to bend over for.  She was our Sally's best friend.  She loved to track - she is shown tracking in the AKC's Otterhound video.  But her biggest claim to fame was her starring role in the LaCrosse Community Theater's production of the musical "Annie".  She portrayed the mongrel dog Sandy in 33 performances and in several TV spots for the LaCrosse Chamber of Commerce.  In the photo above, Annie is singing the song ‘Tomorrow' to her.  Rascal adored all the little girls who played the orphans.  She never missed a cue and was a favorite of the audience.
